your old bulds

Hello everyone

I was wondering what everybody does with there old buld. I burnt one of my MH buld out by accedential touching it while it was one. I was wondering if there is a place that recycels them or just throw them away. Is there something creative i could do with it. What do you do with the bulbs after 6month to a year when they still light but dont give off enough light??

i usually throw my bulbs in the garbage or sometimes i just save one in case of an emergency, at least i have something.

Check with your local trash co, but I am pretty sure that as long as your throwing away small amounts they can be just tossed out. I remember when I was an electrician we could only throw away so many flourescent bulbs at a time, or they had to go to a hazmat facility.

You may want to check with your local municipality. I know I my area the city has a recycling center that you can drop your old flourescent bulbs at.
