Zoa eating nudi!!!

well I found another culprit for my zoa colonies shrinking. I am very upset about this one! I woke up and turned the lights on and seen it eating my zoas, along with a preditary star and one of those zoa eating snails all at once in the same colony!!!!

I would like to know of some methods of controling these so let me know if you have any ideas...

Iodine dip will get rid of all the adults. The eggs have to be removed manually.

Pest Nudibranch

People have have some luck controling the nudibranch population with different wrasse's.
I had a green coris wrasse that worked for me. Eventually he started running out of things to eat in my tank and got too aggressive searching for food and I had to do some trading with him.
Another wrasse known for eating those nudi's is a sea grass wrasse.

i agree dip is the way to go and removing the eggs manualy, the same with the snails.

If you do the iodine dip use plain Lugols iodine. Not the Lugols "PLus" iodine.
I also use 10-12 drops per gallon of water.

I know Blue sierra has Iodine, most fish stores have the kent one.

yeah i agree with Joshi, you can get the lugols iodine in any fishstore.
I'm sure Martin told you this but just in case, make sure that when you're dipping your zoos you give it a good shake and also don't leave them there for to to long .
i hope you get rid of your nudis.
