My zoas opened on the first 2 days that i got them (5 days ago) but since havent opened in 3 days now and today, they're still not open, but their skirts are sticking out. what...is....going....on.... my temp in the tank is 82, but I normally keep all my tanks at 76. Could it be because of my low tank temperatures that caused the zoas to not open after the first couple days? and is it bad that their skirts are sticking out?!:confused:

+1 for starting to open. Happened to me recently. Got a frag pack of nice zoas, and they opened right up for the first couple days, but then closed for at least three days. After that they opened back up and did fine. Just getting used to the surroundings I guess.

Maybe they don't like their placement? I've noticed some don't open unless they are at the bottom of the tank (low light) or top of the tank (high light.) My tubbs blues won't open up unless thay are at the bottom of the tank AND hidden under a rock overhang. They just don't like direct light.

Might try moving them around. What kind of zoas are they?

Strange, my tubbs blues are at the very top of my tank in direct light and love it! I got 2 polyps a couple months ago, and now I have like 15ish.
