    Looks good. Just one question, why in the display tank only 12 gallons, but your sump is going to 29 gallons.

    It looks good, but it may help to add a little more live rock. Do you have a protien skimmer, if not the slim skim nano would be realy good for your tank. hope every thing goes well.

    hard vs soft growth

    What do you have as far as your filtration and dosing for your tank. It may be possible that your tank is a low nutrient environment, you may have enough nutrients to grow lps but not enough for soft corals to flourish.
