    Pico Tanks, share your knowledge.

I have seen your thread a time or two. It was very nice. Mine is going to be similar. I am going to do purple tipped frogspawn, mushrooms, zoanthids, greenstars, xenia, and maybe a piece from my kenya tree. I think that I may see about a KNano for flow. My only concern would be the new...

    Pico Tanks, share your knowledge.

Carlos, it really isn't bad. I took 2.5 gallons of water from my larger tank along with LS. It didn't really cycle at first then I had a bad case of cyano in it and treated it with some stuff. After that for whatever reason I had a massive hard cycle. So I reseeded the LS and added the LR...

    Pico Tanks, share your knowledge.

I just read that the minimum tank size for a clown goby is 10 gallons. While this one is very small is it still okay in the pico?

    Pico Tanks, share your knowledge.

I have started a 2.5 gallon pico tank with LS/LR and will get some coral once it gets more age and stability but want to know more. I have a Fluval 1 filter that circulates my water and 1.25 pounds of LR and 2.25 pounds of LS, is this enough filtration (biological and mechanical)? I ask...

    Little orange slug things

Can you pick them off at all? I wouldn't mind them to bad because they are beneficial but you have an enormous stock it looks like.

    Another skimmer question???

I would buy a decent skimmer. Look at the one "myteemouse" just bought. That thing is sick looking! I read some reviews last night to get my own opinion and like it a lot.

    Power outage

I would be nervous as well. MC sounds like he is the man with a plan. Battery backup would be my plan.

    Holy RTN Batman!

Our LFS here in Nashville, TN lost their stock a few weeks back. This particular tank was their show tank and just all of a sudden it started to bleach and then was gone. They left it in there and for some reason quite a few polyps are still hanging on. It was orange and had been glued to the...

    Pregnant Cleaner Shrimp?

As cool as it would be I have to agree with the others. It would be difficult to isolate them to hatch.

    7 Gallon Minibow powerhead options

I would do 2 nanos. After aqua scaping you will have 5.5/6 gallons of water and with 265ish GPH turnover rate you should be good. My concern with the 1's would be a sand storm.

    refuge lighting

I was told to get a Home Depot $5 fixture and throw a bulb in that. Makes sense. With one or two of those on there and some decent bulbs you could have 140/150 watts of light.

    Please ID Hitchhiker Crab

Adam has the right things going. Throw both of them in the sump. They're going to eat and food that flows by and would be beneficial.
