Taqpol's 120 gallon All in Stand Reef Build

Well, I just made my very first online livestock purchase: a 28 head Acanthastrea lordhowensis from www.aquaticauction.com . It should ship out overnight on Monday and be in my tank on tuesday! http://aquaticauction.com/iSynApp/auctionDisplay.action?sid=151&auctionId=99447

I'm extremely excited about the Copper Band Butterfly. One of my clams (the blue maxima) had a bunch of aiptasia on its shell that were stinging the bejeezus out of its mantle and causing it to lose color. I decided the clam might bite the dust anyway and put it into the frag tank. Immediately...

FTS Update time. Hint hint, I changed something. Anemone tank is doing great, you can see the newest addition in here, but I have some more pictures of him later. I happened to snap these pics while trying to take pictures of the Copper Band Butterfly. He's not exactly shy, just hard to get...

    Devastating Tank Tragedy

I've heard the Milwaukee pH controller is actually quite good, and for only $100 its a steal! Or you could just use the pH probe and one of the power slots on your RK2 if you don't mind not seeing what your in tank pH is. I would think that this coupled with the digital regulator we talked...

    Devastating Tank Tragedy

This really is a tragedy. I'm glad your Occ. clowns survived and a lot of the coral as well. I guess this could be the time to really re do your aquascape and get it how you like. This is exactly why Calcium reactors scare me. If I were to ever try it I think i would have to front the money for...

    Spokane people and surrounding areas!!

I have the tools and ability to drill holes for 1" bulkheads and 1.5" bulkheads, but I'm in Pullman. Does that help at all?

WOW! Cool update. On Saturday (11/7/09) I picked up a really cool Green Bubble Tip Anemone (neon green, actually has the bubbles) and put it into the frag tank with the picasso clowns. Today the more dominant of the two picassos is already hosting in it! I had an GBTA in my old tank for ten...

    A whole new dimension!!!

Hey Michael, are you going to be in town this Saturday? I'm driving up for the day and was hoping to purchase more zoanthids off of you if you have any for sale.

Holy crap, I show up on the first page of google when you search for GARF Purple Bonsai!! It sure is growing fast, but it is definitely not ready to frag yet. Brandy and her husband in Spokane have a massive colony (I think) and they have pretty much been supplying the whole area, so you might...

Hmmm, how did you find me without going there yourself? ;) Its true, but surprisingly I just had my very first "bad RC mod" experience over there this last week, and I've been active over there over a year. That being said they were the first forum I found that was helpful to noobs (I hadn't...

Apparently the Puprle Bonsai's are pretty prolific around the Spokane area if you ever come to this side of the state. I picked mine up at a good price and its growing really fast! I really wish I had a look through box, I have a blue maxima that is also stunning from the top. The FTS's were...

Ok! Finally done. Once I find some more time I'm gonna post some growth shots. The really impressive one will be the growth of that yellow toadstool coral, I've had it an entire year in one tank or another.

New fish, all of these from the Barrier Reef Sale. Picasso clowns! Christmas Wrasse Half Black Mimic Tang. This guy has absolutely great patterns on its side, so hopefully it will replace what my tank is lacking after the loss of the Scopas.

Fishy time! This McCosker's flasher wrasse did NOT want his picture taken! I added a "school" of three chalk bass awhile ago. What an absolutely great set of fish! My remaining (fat!) male spotted Mandarin.

Oldies but Goodies... Maricultured colony of a red millepora. This guy is weird cause half the colony is super hairy and the other half isnt. Another mariculture. I lost most of this guy during the tank transfer, then he turned real dull. I was about to sell him but then he started putting on...
