    I was able to get a lifeguard aquatics quietone 2200 which is 600 gph for 35 bucks on clearance at my local petco. Maybe you can call a few of your local petcos. It replaced my Mag Drive 7 which decided to fail after 2 years. It's much quieter and just as powerful.

    Red planet growth

    The amount of light definitely has an affect on the coloration. It's a pale pink and white in my shallow tank where it sits about 10 inches below the surface of the water beneath a 250w radium. It grows extremely fast in that tank. In my t5 tank it's mostly a deep green with red accents.

    Have you dosed in some Prime to help with the ammonia. You can dose up to 5x the recommended dosage for emergency situations.

    DIY LED build machined from billet alluminum

    That's awesome. I hope someday to have a mill in my garage or one for my free use. I'm taking Numerical control ops right now and it's definitely my favorite class that I've taken so far. I'm using Catia as my CAD program.
