Red planet growth

Just 2shots of a month and a half of growth,is it good or not?

Looks pretty good to me... but I don't know if they are prolific growers or not...
 
Wish mine grew upward, for whatever reason my red planet keeps growing outward, acting like an encrusting monti. Started out a plug size, now covering a 5 inch circular area
 
The amount of light definitely has an affect on the coloration. It's a pale pink and white in my shallow tank where it sits about 10 inches below the surface of the water beneath a 250w radium. It grows extremely fast in that tank. In my t5 tank it's mostly a deep green with red accents.
 
Most red planet it a tabling coral....Mine encrusted fast and is very red with green mixed in the base. I have a ora green planet thats encrusting fast too.
 
Couldn't you control the type of growth. Like if it has nothing to spread out on then it should branch up, right?
