Found a good sized critter on my 8 inch clam and wonder if it is a good guy or a bad one. Seems to be just cleaning the shell. Any ideas?

    White tips on SPS

I like it when I see white tips on my corals after I change my bulbs cause it tells me I finally have new growth again. It also tells me that I probably waited too long to change lights if growth looks foreign to me.

    Refugium lighting

I have been lighting my refugium with a cheap, small 23 watt(equivalent to 100w), 1600 lumen, 6500K daylight compact fluorescent. There the curly cue ones, my first one only cost $1 at home depot. I've been running that type of light now for several years and my chaeto has to be 90% removed...

Worm critters with web like feeding nets?

Now that you mention that, Michael, I do remember reading an article about snails that build tubes. I have quite a few of them and they seem to build in hard to reach places. Darthv, I will try the rock on top approach if I can get one on a flat surface. Some of the tubes have sps bases...

Worm critters with web like feeding nets?

I have these tubes (1 to 2 inch long) growing on the rocks that have some kind of worm in them that sends out a web like feeding net, does anyone know what they are and how to get rid of them...they cause some sps corals to not extend their tenticals. Some Pocillipora sections have actually...
