    Ok, i will point the one power head down more and prolly add another one. I have a return pump set up with pvc at the top that has three different outlets that point at all the rock for the front side anyways hard to explain il try to take a pic and post.

    i think i have decent flow in my tank. Although maybe its not pointed in the right direction. What can i do to get the flow to hit more towards the bottom. Also does anyone know about the refugium mud? I heard it was reallly good but i wanted some opinions on it first.

    I have been feeding every two to three days my nitrates are down and phosphates are also coming down. Everything else looks good. I have some hermits and bunches of snails but there is still detritus on the bottom of the sand is there anything that will eat that or do i just have to siphon it...

    Help. Flame Angel wont eat.

    Try frozen mysis shrimp it seems like everything will eat that even when my tang wouldn't touch anything else it would it the shrimp. Same with the mandarin goby.

    i want to get one to help stir up the substrate in my refuge and then move him into my main tank. It a 30g and i have read that they need like a 100g is that true? What else would be an option to help keep the sand stirred up?

    Im not sure what they are measuring and i had the algae problem before i started using purple up. My skimmer works well but is not awesome. I don't have an issue in the main tank its only in the refuge. What do you mean about he salinity?

    Ok i wish i could do water changes more i am just tight on money so i can only afford to do them once a week. It is unfortunate but im just glad they are down to 20, once i get some money though im sure i can get rid of them.

    If you have a refuge with chaeto or ulva and enough live rock then yes it should be ok. Especially if you get it to feed on mysis shrimp or pellets.     Yes sorry i didn't mention i have about 75lbs of live rock and a fuge for my 30g and my mandarin is doing awesome. He will eat mysis shrimp and very small pellets but he won't look for it you have to place in near or in front of him but he will def. eat it.
