Ok wires 8 & 9 back on 12 & 13. Ran the whole sketch on page https://sites.google.com/site/caddnima/myreeftank/led_controller/arduinosketch Verified without a problem. Uploaded without anything happening. Checking drivers are up to date now. Must be close now. Tks

Ok Removed all other versions of the arduino program except 0022. When I restarted program again, popup came up asking whether to download new version. Did not this time. Tested all wires for correct connections and made sure there were no bad joints. Retried the "hello world" sketch - no go...

Hi, Wiring done, downloaded Arduino 0022 & tried the "Hello world" sketch with corrections from the recommended website. No action on screen as yet. Just to confirm that the wiring is from the project board to the LCD. Not sure if I should have removed all the 1.01 & 0023 program before loading...

No worries Katchupoy, I also did not download the correct Arduino 0022+ program, had the 1.01 loaded. Go the 023 downloaded now. So it's really my fault for not reading your instruction promptly in the first place. Tomorrow I'll redo the wiring and try to load the new clock script. Thanks for...

Hi Katchupoy Wiring is as per diagram in your page. How do I load and set the RTC clock?

Ok Have fitted the RTC as suggested. Tried various sketches to install & run but no success yet. Katchupoy you mentioned to get "some more transistor... and also some 220 ohm resistors". How many and what size should I get please?

RTC module Thanks Katchupoy it will be better that way. Just need to pickup some proper Arduino jumpers (m/m) from Jaycars (closed today). Will look much neater. Also you mentioned to get "some more transistor... and also some 220 ohm resistors". How many and what size should I get please?

Hi NC2WA, Managed to check out your IP cam. You've got some beauties there, large tank too. Is your cam switched off at times? I switch off for feeding & water changes.

Yes it's a possibility as long as all connections are correct, will think on that one. Made a mistake on ground. Here's a correction pic.

Here's what an proposing to do, except will solider pins to board so all is spaced better. Does it look correct?

Ok Reading that page. Going to try and ATTACH PROTOTYPE SHIELD + RTC either with pins or jumpers to the correct contact. It seems most of the holes in the prototype shield are separate and unallocated so can be connected by the outer digital or analogue pin and screw terminals. It takes a bit...

Success will "hello world"- Thanks! Katchupoy Next thing is to assemble the RTC to the arduino, pins should slot right in.

The guy at Jaycars explained the Mosfet as being a low power switch which is able to control a separate higher power circuit. OK How many transistors do I need & what type & wattage? Ditto for the 220 ohm resistors as well. Is there an updated parts list ? Tks
