    Refugium return pump

    Thanks for the quick reply, I took off the sponge last night to clean it (and it was dirty) I left it off. I was wondering if it would act like a biological filter. Thanks

    Refugium return pump

    The return pump from the refuguim has like a sponge filter on the intake. My question is should I leave the filter on it or take it off and just leave the cage around the intake? Thanks for any help!!!
