HOB Skimmer w/ Refugium....Intake Pump Question
what do i know????lol i got a maxijet powering a 12"tall cone with a 6" base and it rocks it!!!!! it is to much pump for those little skimmers....- troylee

Finally got a tank. 60g Solana
Put the sand in a pillow case and hang it from your bath tub spout and let it rinse for awhile..;)- troylee

you can but you might want to throttle it down a tad....a fuge needs low flow, a maxijet will blast threw that little thing..also the maxijet would prolly blow the top off the skimmer!!! it really depends on how you make the venturi for it and how much air it pulls compared to water....- troylee

juizy what size tank you got??? there is plenty of skimmers out there that are actually good... price wars have begun and so has china manufacturing they come cheap now... whats your tank specs???- troylee

the trend i see nowa days is people are'nt concerened about power consumption they just want it to work, no matter what it takes... me making cone skimmers???nah lol.. i just love to play..:) "edit" i myself look for energy savings projects.."hence my atb powered tank" all my pumps combined...- troylee

put a beckett injector in there and isolate it with a acrylic tube....put a air adjustment valve and your good!!!!- troylee
