I'll try to get more pics if I see him again. It does look like it has a soft shell straight down the middle.

    LED Lights?

I have the Solaris I5 LED and LEDs can support corals. Attached is some pics I just took with my iPhone. All corals were frags. The SPS was only 2.5 inches. The tank has been running it for about 10 months now and its fine. Plus, you don't need to worry about changing bulbs :) Enjoy...

    Solaris I5 LED

85 for the unit's internal temp a lot cooler than the "standard" lighting setups. Zero heat transfer to the water surface. You can put your hand under the unit and barely feel anything. Anyhow, I like the LEDs and their other benefits. Hopefully in a few years LEDs will be the new standard.

    Solaris I5 LED

Its good. Last week in the Seattle area we had 105 F heat and the light temp was held at 102 F. Normal running temp is around 85 F. If I close the hood its around 96 F. I would attach a more current pic but if my "reef safe" fish was reef safe, I would have more corals to show off :( My powder...

Powder Blue Tang Not So Reef Safe

Strips of 2" x 5" (roughly), 1 in the morning and 1 around 10pm (my lights run from 1pm to 12am). Every other day of 1/3 cube of Formula 1 (for the Clowns) and Formula 2. I really like the PBT. He is healthy and no signs of ick. Too bad this is happening.

Powder Blue Tang Not So Reef Safe

My PBT is eating my zoas. Not only that, my Yellow Tang picks on my star polyps to a point where it just does not open up any more  And yes, I feed them plenty.

    Star polyps not openning

For the past few days I've noticed that a section of my star polyps is not openning up. Then I noticed that there is the tube with an openning that closes and opens. What is that? Larger Pic Thanks

    How dangerous are Zoanthids?

I had to reglue a frag and the thing squirt somthing out. Nothing hit me. Then today I move it to a different spot, a few seconds later I noticed it released something cloudy in the tank. I thought these guys were harmless. Should I be more careful and start wearing gloves?

    Who uses LED's?

I have the PFO Solaris I5 24". Great lights but can't really say much on how they do on corals yet. I just put in a green toadstool frag (something easy) :) http://www.reeffrontiers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=39315 http://www.reeffrontiers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=41774
