LED Lights?

I am planing on building my own led lighting system with possible t5 or pc supliments,does anyone know how well the LEDs work with SPS corals? i mean is the lighting strong enough that the SPS and RBTAs have enough lighting? if anyone has any info on the LEDs and how it might affect the growth of corals and at what depth do they become useless.

IMO, you should be thinking more along the lines of t5ho for main lighting w/ 4-8 bulbs and LED's as supplements, just a larger amount of them for an increased effect.

I have the Solaris I5 LED and LEDs can support corals. Attached is some pics I just took with my iPhone. All corals were frags. The SPS was only 2.5 inches. The tank has been running it for about 10 months now and its fine. Plus, you don't need to worry about changing bulbs
