    125g External Skimmer

    I have a 75gal with a 20 gal sump. My octo recirc 200nw and it is pulling out a ton of shiite. I have about 150lbs of live rock and four fish. Should I mod anything?

    Octupus Xtreme skimmer

    Where is your skimmer sitting? Do you have it in a refugium or sump? Mine is sitting on the floor, next to my sump. I used cement to prevent any major water damage. So far so good. It is a lot of skimmer for my 75 gal, but it is pulling out some heinous stuff.

    Thanks. That helps a lot. I will try to get some pics of what I have to work with. I think the top of my skimmer arm is like 40 inches or close to it.

    csdoyle, How did you seal your gray riser arms? (The water outlet.) I don't want cement it, but I will if I have to. I just got an Octo recirc 200nw yesterday.

    Recirculating or MSX Skimmer?

    I just got my Octo recirc 200 yesterday and my girlfriend barely could get the box in the front door. IT IS HUGE! I had no idea it was this big. The next step is to build a cabinet next to my tank to hide it and the sump. The bubbles and foam it produced on a test run was AMAZING!!!!!

    How to you like your ASM 3? I looked at a few different skimmers and that was one of them. I would have been fine with a octo recirc 150 nw, I think, but the 200 was the same price. I really wanted a msx, but they are unavailable for a while.

    I just purchased a octo recirc 200 nw skimmer and it is too tall to fit under my 75gal with a 20 gal sump. Thinking about moving the sump outside the stand and putting a 30 gal fuge under the stand. Is this possible? How?

    I went with the octopus recirc needle 200. It was on sale for the same price as the 150. I figured I will try this one and if I don't like it I would sell it and then by then they will have more MSX's. Any suggestions or mods you would recommend? I should have it tue or wed.
