    Got him about a month ago. Placed him at the top of the tank, close to the 150W MH. What can cause this gaping ? I'll try to get a pic of the shell...

    Hi all, Whats this coral ??? Any tips for the care of this one ?? It actually looked not as green as in this picture when I purchased it, infact it looked quite bad...looked pale...got the green color back around 1 week ago...

    Clam ID

    Is this a crocea ? Does this clam look normal and healthy ? Its actually blue, but I really cant seem to get a good angle to take the photo.

    Kevin and all, whats this one below ?? Another thing is, if you look carefully, to the left, there's a small part of the coral is white, its been like that for about a month now. Looks like some kinda growth...I hope its not stn or something...any idea what it is ?

    Oh yeah, the Loctite's can take skin off you fingers...i've used them before...i think its loctite 401...small white bottle

    Besides inadequate flow, does the proximity to the MH lights effect polyp extension. By the way, I have repositioned the pagoda and have the seio 620 giving more flow towards the coral now...thanx for the inputs.

    When you talk about super glue, are you referring to the super glue we normally use to patch normal house hold stuff like broken remotes, something like Selleys and UHU, or are you referring to something specific for marine ?

    I've had this for 2 months already. Actually, on some days it does extend well, but lately its been like this. Im not sure if its due to my MH lighting, which came about a month ago. You are right sihaya, during the night, I do see some detritus collecting in the cup, and the coral releases...

    Would like to try a couple of Millepora corals or other SPS. Advice?

    Lets say with good reflectors, how deep is the penetration for a 150W bulb ? If I 'm going to upgrade to 250W from a 150W, I need to change the ballast, do I need to change the contacts as well ??

    Pagoda care

    Hi, heres a pic of my pagoda coral. Just wanted to know if it is healthy or not. Are the polyps extended as much as they should be ? Any tips on caring for this type of coral. Right now it sits at the top of the tank, slightly to the left of my 150MH. Thanx. :) :)

    kevinpo, a question for you...not to hijack this thread....what if he has 2 x 150W...would that be good enough to keep the blue ones ?? That would be 300w...which is more that 250W...is that how it works ? Or is this wattage referring to intensity ?
