    Digital Aquatics Reefkeeper

I was going to buy one, but after reading a rather long thread on RC about it, changed my mind. One of the uses I had in mind was to shut off the MH lights if the water temp exceeded a certain temperature--it reportedly won't do that. There are also reports of software issues. FWIW, I heard...

    Katrina's 90 gallon Reef

OR 2700--mine never pulled out that much stuff. Even after I tried every mod out there on it. It finally almost completely stopped skimming a couple of weeks ago. I cleaned it twice to try to get it to work. Used a small drill bit to make sure there wasn't anything clogging the venturi. The...

    Katrina's 90 gallon Reef

Scott it has a Sedra 5000 with the needle wheel. I think it will be easy to clean--the throat of the collection cup is much larger than the turboflotor and is easy to clean. I think cleaning the body will be pretty easy too.I'm sure it's pulling out at least twice a much skimmate as the TF...

    Katrina's 90 gallon Reef

Wow, I just cleaned out the collection cup on the G-3--disgusting  The turboflotor never pulled out gunk like that--I'm very happy that I switched. For anyone considering buying one, I'd highly recommend it.

Yep, but you can pay at the door. $20 will get you in to all the swap meets for the year and to any other events or field trips. We have an Inland trip planned for April.

    Katrina's 90 gallon Reef

Oh, I was so excited about the new monti that I forgot about the skimmer :) I'm now running an ASM G-3 and I'm amazed at how much gunk it's pulling out. The turboflotor practically stopped skimming for almost 2 weeks, but it was weird because I didn't have any bad side effects. I installed...

    Katrina's 90 gallon Reef

Got that from Premium Aquatics, which is local for me. I think the polyps are orange, or not real bright, maybe light brown--still looks good.

    Katrina's 90 gallon Reef

Thanks everyone. I do like the Seio Nick. It's only an 820, but it's perfect for that spot. I had greatly increased growth on one particular coral that got a lot of the extra flow. Thinking about adding a larger one going across the length of the tank.

    Is this bleaching?

Yeah, I thought it might be RTN, so I popped that branch off. Thanks

    Is this bleaching?

Thanks for asking Nick. It was doing great, but when I got home tonight some tissue was completely gone from one branch. It was fine last night. I looked around and I don't see anything wrong with anything else. I'll just have to wait an see. Here's a pic of the damage.

    Katrina's 90 gallon Reef

Thanks Chris--the majority of the sps came from PA or through local trades. I did buy a couple of ORA frags from Abyss. I'll PM you about the dues.

    Is this bleaching?

And setting in the middle of the damaged area, was a little crab that had until a couple of days ago been living in the first coral pictured at the beginning of this thread. Here's the little varmit--who is obviously evil
