i went to larry's today and traded some corals. he had 2 pocillopora,, one really large and healthy -- and the other i left for you :) larry said you wanted one and i told him you would not mind taking the small kinda sickly looking one.

i would suggest using a mj 900. you get about the same flow and use a lot less electricity.

i have a tunze cal reactor. when i bought it it had media in it --i had it dripping very slow-- at least i thought it was slow enough. the dkh is now 14.7 calcium 430 and ph is 8.33.
i did a water change last night,, and will do another tomorrow.

i have a christmas tree rock that has lost its worms. it is a pretty green and has a little crab living in it. it used to have small worms but i have not seen them for a long time now. is there anything i can do to get the worms back??
you can see the crab in the middle of the rock.

i did about a 15 gal water change and i am making more water tonight. i will see what i can do with several water changes.

alkalinity in meg/l was 5.71 = too high
the calcium at 500 i did not see as a problem . i have sps in the tank and thought 500 would be a good thing. what should it be?
also if the new water i am mixing is high water changes wont help. i dont get it??? :(

cal - 500

no3 - 0

i tested the water i made for todays water change. the dkh is 10.6 which is high also. so then i tested the ro water and it is 1.0 before i add the salt. i am using instant ocean.

both anemones are attached to rocks so you would get them too. both have been attached and no matter where i have moved the sabea he stays on his rock. the rock the gbta is on has sponges and seasquirts on it as a bonus. :)
