What kind of nem is this?

I know that pics are really bad. They are on the top of my tank. I don't take the middle sheet of glass off very often, b/c i'd have to take both sets of lights off. I don't run a skimmer, which i assume why they are growing here... I haven't seen these any where else in my tank. I haven't...

    Help Catching an Angel Fish!

if a fish trap doesn't work try putting the net in the tank for a couple of days, don't feed at all or at least very much. then put food in the net... or take part of the tank apart and block that part of the tank with egg crate when the fish is on that side... either way, good luck!

    Blackout in Tanks.

warforged, why did you use a blanket to keep your sand warm during the day and evening, but only a sheet at night when it was colder? wouldn't you want the blanket at night and a sheet during the day? ;) :D

    Good corals for starting out

If I remember right, MrSculpin is in the Spokane area. $50 for a 55 gal tank is a real good price. I sold my 75 gal for $200... MrSculpin, I would go with a 75, b/c one get more room front-back, but if you can get a 55 for cheap now, and then drill the 75 latter. it might work out. But moving...

No more wild Elkhorn or Staghorn?

I know what water we control... I'm asking if this counts for the rest of the world that plays by the rules or just us. Does it grow in any other water?

Am I reading this right? Only homegrown Elkhorn and Staghorn now? Or is that only in water that USA controls? http://world-wire.com/news/0810290002.html

    Best filtration method

When things (food, fish, shrimp, etc...) decay they make ammonia (REALLY REALLY toxic) first. then bacteria breaks into nitrite (REALLY toxic), then different bacteria break it into nitrate (toxic.) I'm tired right now, but i think plants use the nitrate. there are a couple reasons not to move...

    Best filtration method

since you don't have very much coral yet, WCs are mostly to get ride of NO3 and such... monthly can work if you have a good filtration system and/or you do larger WCs. that being said, it is easier on your livestock to do small-ish ones often then larger ones not as often... not everyone...

I did weld on 3 with a sryenge like the older fellow said. Jason said a new top would be best, but after that weld on 40 and a sheet of acrylic on top... I...

    Glueing rocks and corals

I use the glue Marshs said from glueing stuff with soft tissue to things it is a good super glue (pretty much, there might be something else that makes it reef safe, but i don't know) that is a gel. for hard stuff (SPS, LPS and such) I use Milliput or D-D's aquascape. it'll stick anything to...
