    Colleen and Nate's in-wall 270 gallon - Tri-cities

Okay, it's time we posted a link on our 270 gallon tank in-wall tank install! :D:D For those of you that don't know, we had a new house built this past June that included a built in in-wall tank with a small equipment room behind to house our plumbing, separate frag system, and quarantine tank...

meet the members of PSAS' Tanks...breifly.

Colleen & Nate's tank in Tri-Cities Here are a couple shots of our current 155 gallon bow front and the back of our 270 gallon in-wall work in progress - we've been plumbing for a while now. Only a couple more weeks and we get to (finally) add water for a test run ! (The shelf above the tank...

    Me, Myself, & Sherman too.

By the way -- If that THING has been in a vial for that long what the heck do you think it's living on? Is it getting regular light for algae growth in there? Photosynthesis?

    Me, Myself, & Sherman too.

 I think the vinyl sheets are 24 x 36, so you'd have some patchwork to do, but much larger would be hard to work with. It goes on best if its is sprayed with water and then put on with a roller/squeegee. Think it might stay on better on an acrylic tank. The areas that were...

???? Duuuhhhhh, all we have is queen size for the bed. I'm hoping you're referring to the cling vinyl ?????

    Me, Myself, & Sherman too.

Time for a road trip for you and Sherman Now that you mention it, yes, it is basically an enclosed closet -- our goal was to have the tank mostly enclosed with fans and vents directed to the outside. Thank goodness this was a cool summer for us since we've had our current tank lighting and...

    Me, Myself, & Sherman too.

Well gosh Jonathon, I'm sure a road trip to Tri-Cities before snow flies would clear up all your confusion (until we pull out that bottle of Port that's waiting for you)! We're almost finished with the hard part so it's safe for you and Sherm to come for a visit now. :p Yes, it's in the...

    Me, Myself, & Sherman too.

How big is the vial/mystery item? Hey Jonathan, Weird -- are the zoos feeling better since you took that thing away? How big is it and/or the vial? Is it close to the size of a pencil eraser or a grain of rice or what? We're almost ready for water in the 267 gallon -- here's a pic of the...

    sps dying.. need help....

Keeping fingers crossed... Thanks! I hope things keep doing okay. So, I learn from my mistakes, and have purchased a quarantine tank (no new frags until it's set up). The frags you gave us stayed healthy and look great. The timing was bad since we were within 6 weeks of closing on the new...

    sps dying.. need help....

PS -- one more note... We do have a dense birdnest colony that has been losing color on the bottom for a long time (probably at least 4 months), but I believe this is due to the density and size of the colony - we've looked it over closely and seen no signs of AEFW. It's lost color down...

Acro eating flatworms ?? My guess is perbaps HereFishyFishy was going to have you check for acro eating flatworms. I think we picked them up about 6-8 weeks ago. We had a few frags/colonies start bleaching from the bottom up, but all water params looked just fine. Then the bleaching from...

    Treehuggers (Jeff) 240

Darn! I like your signature, maybe I should try saying "I love you" instead of telling the mama clown she is a crabby pain in the @ss. She doesn't appreciate having any wandering (or falling) snails or hermits in her 'yard'. Can't put any frags too close either. Not so sure...

Midas Blenny has an algae goatee

Our midas blenny is taking after 'dad' and has sprouted a goatee. :( We think he got tangled up with a hammer coral? A new frag was put near the hole he likes to hide in and overnight he showed up with a couple sores on his head, a white patch back behind his gills, and a large sore on the...

food Maybe you'll have to try some dreaded flake food for the new guys. I bet they won't recognize your quality hand-prepped quisine as 'food' ! Did you get enough garlic in this batch so they could smell it? ;)

    Rescue Fish

I hope they all make it.... Hopefully that tang will go back to yellow once it quits trying to blend in with the green water. I think owners are supposed to sure their tangs have greens to EAT, not swim in! At least the owners got in touch with you to save them. Hooray~!
