    Unknown crab. pest or not

    Found this little fella in my tank. It's about 1/2 inch across mybe a bit bigger. Managed to catch him and put him into the sump tank. Any idea if it is friend or foe? Does he deserve a life of exile :(

    tank has been up and running 6 weeks, found it today in the live rock. would guess at about 2 inches long when it moved. When i first saw it it looked like a crab with the legs missing lol. Will try to get more pics but he or she fled into the rock when the flash went off

    I have the pumps connected to the system ok using the WXM module. I am having problems getting the darn things to work. I have updated the firmware to the latest version and can manualy turn the pumps off and on through the status screen but I cant get the modes working. Any ideas :(

    It's more the fish that conserns me. It's not as if there's masses of the bubbles and as the skimmer beds in they seem to be getting less. Just worried about the affect on the fish

    Krylon paint

    I sprayed a piece of scrap PVC and let it dry 24 hrs. The paint comes of the pipe very easily if scratched. I have decided to keep it white and wait for the coraline algea to cover it. Thanks for the input though :)

    Thanks for the comments, the tank is 60 X 27 X 40 high. Made out of 3/4 inch starphire glass. Reaching the bottom will be the fun part lol, Have got some long pincers with big and small grabbers on, If that fails I will be going for a swim. Hardest part will be trying to set up the live rock...
