    Electrical Cords

I still say wrap it all up and zip tie it up close to the light. This removes the hanging cords and still allows for future use.

    Yes.. Wall Wart = Transformer.

    Electrical Cords

That would be fine in my book. It would be no different than cutting off a cord on a lamp for the house. No real reason to wrap the end with electrical tape as there will be no voltage coming from the light back out these wires. Might be better though to just wrap it all up and zip tie...

    Q/t

No live rock, in the event you need to treat something. It's best to have a pretty much empty tank with no sand or live rock and some simple PVC elbows, unions for hiding spots depending fish in QT. One caveat though is for sand sifting creatures, then obviously you'd need some sand. Lee has a...

    dumb question

you can do it it's just not advised. 1. you would have 2 pumps pushing water into the same area and would be creating head pressure against each other and could basically lower the flow of the pump. 2 if one pump was to fail the other pump would simple push water back out into the sump and not...

Help Please -- Ca Rx Stopped Dripping Effluent

Basically the feed pump feeds the reactor with water. The recirc pump does just that recirc's the water around in the reactor. The feed pump supplies the added pressure to the system to push the effluent water out. The water getting out of the reactor via gravity is probably just residual in the...

Help Please -- Ca Rx Stopped Dripping Effluent

Not sure but I would say you're going to have to start taking things apart to figure it out. Start at the effluent side and work back towards the reactor. There's a clog there someplace since you know the feed pump is feeding, the recirc pump is working. Got to be in the effluent tube or right...
