    It's both. With power head (PH) it's the suction along with getting sucked into the impeller and diced up. With Closed Loops (CL) it's the suction they sucked into and them cannot get free. With PH's you can put a sponge around the intake and to decrease the suction or I've even seen people...

    I know you've already done this, but I would have to assume calibration error on the meter. Have you tested with a kit instead. Could it be a bad probe? What's the reading if you put the probe in the calibration fluid? What calibration fluid are you using?

    I wait 24 to 48 hours. The 48 hours is due more to be lazy and not doing it after 24hrs. I use power heads to mix it.

    Most won't have pre-made inside tank over flow boxes. (assuming I understand this correctly. You're trying to turn a normal acrylic tank in to a reef ready with internal over flow.) I'm sure if you gave Jason at Clear Fabrications the size etc of what you want he'd be more than happy to make...
