    mp40 feedback

It really comes down to appearance and whether that is worth an extra few hundred bucks. Nothing out there currently will beat the clean look of no wires in tank no heat transfer of the mp40. But if that is not important to you, tunze or the jebao would perform equally if not better. Noise level...

    How to control zoos

I've had pretty good luck using frag cutters and just cutting a thin slice of rock underneath the zoa mats to remove/frag them.

    Led light mount rail

Inspired by tv mount and the recent computer monitor mounts that were issued by work. I think I am going to get this: Dual Stand | Multiple Monitor Stand | LCD Mount | Monitor Arm My thought is to mount a long single pole, attached on the bottom and top of stand and then attach the arms on onto...

    Led vs PAR for coral

FYI for anyone using reef breeders or evergrow alike. I asked Logan from reef breeders regarding my situation and he indicated that he runs his lights at 60% on his own tank.

Any advise on chillers..anybody using an arctica titanium chiller?good or bad?!

That is a great question ......as those chillers draw 6-7 amps, which is the same as one of those 8000btu ac units.

    Led light mount rail

Thanks for the invite. I'll have to see if I can work that into a drive down south. BTW...the way the guy on RC used a lcd tv mount was sweet. Swivel to your hearts content.

    Led light mount rail

yep, figure 4 lag bolts on each upright. If 2 upright is not going to hold the weight, maybe a third?

    Led light mount rail

I'm just wondering if I use the eztube and connectors and make a overhang that extends out 12 inches. Will it hold the weight of the lights? or would I need to add a bracing in there somewhere under the 90.

    Led light mount rail

cool, how snug do those connectors fit? I assume you might be able to screw them together for a more permanent bond? Looking at their gallery Photo Gallery, Pictures, Examples - Lightweight Framing Projects | EZ Tube - International Designs the one with the aquarium and the small light is kinda...

    Led light mount rail

I currently have my 2 evergrows hanging from the wall with brackets. I don't really care for the look, and I also can't adjust their position much. I was also thinking that I might want to add a 4 puck at some point. I have see light racks that sit on top of the tank, but I don't really want to...

    Led vs PAR for coral

thanks for the link. Looks like according to the charts, at 60/40 and approx 12 inch below (where I have most of the sps) I would get 400 par. I've read that sps likes to have 250 - 300, so perhaps I should drop down the power even further.

    Led vs PAR for coral

Hi all, I've been running the 16 inch evergrow led units from reef breeders since Nov. Had some really go growth for a few months, but recently I started noticing some lost of color on the tips/surface facing parts of the corals. If there is anyone else running the evergrows, what power...

When I switched from durso to herbie, that removed all micro bubbles and gurgling/water fall noise issues.
