    Titan in an aquarium setup closed loop refers to a plumbing of pipes to pumps in which both the intake and outlets are submerged 100% of the time in water never allowing air to enter the system. Thus a closed loop.

    No an overflow box will not work...that would be an open system. A closed loop is closed IE never open to the air...so going to the sump would be an open system unless your sump is sealed from air completely.

    Yes so a good point brought up here is that with the app for my android I can control the outlets, view my graphs and alter feed modes. If that isn't enough I can log into the unit via the browser and control anything i want just like I was sitting there.

    I think the one thing I really enjoy about when you post up is you let your tank naturally develop. Almost everyone in the hobby would say AHHHHHH GHA but you have found a way to let it exist in a harmony and serve a purpose.

    Depends on what you are doing. That question is too vague. An Apex can manage my little coral side project/business start but if I had say 20000 gallons I would use a profilux.
