thanks Trido for the suggestions on the gutter guard. Great idea, I need to get something set-up. I never imagined that I would ever have a fish jump out. I had a 72 gal set-up with no lip around it and open with no problems. ps. I now know not to mention the two bad words in humor. Sorry;)

I think the reason why we are so caught up on it is that we are trying to make a bad situation better with humor. If I didn't use humor in these situations I would have probably thrown the fishtank out the door by now:)

When I first started my tank, I was told 1 snail for every 2 gallons. It seemed to work for me but I was just starting my tank? My experience with Barrier Reef has been great and they are always willing and ready to help whether it be on the phone or in person. Lot's of great people over...

Unfortunately this little guy jumped out of the tank to his death:( I was very sadened becuase he was one of the original's that started in the tank. Because of this, I have glossed him over and mounted him as one of the original's to pay tribute. I guess on the bright side, he has entered...

Hey Brett, I've been out of town so I just got a chance to read your post. Next time you need something picked up that's big just give me a call or PM. I have a box truck. It might save you the hassle of strapping to the top of your car:)

    Brown substance covering my sand

out of curiosity, is it best to just let this go? Or should you stir it up and try to suck it out? I was told it is just best to let it go on the sand and rocks (alright to clean the glass). Thought I should get a second opinion:)

    My 125 Project

I have hit a little bit of a brown bloom so I am trying to get that under control. Other then that, all of the corals are looking healthier then they have ever looked. Now I just need to start slowly building er' up. Hopefully, I will have pictures here soon.

    Return Pump

I am looking at purchasing a beter model return pump right now for my 125. Right now, I have a mag 7 on it. I am thinking of using that for my calcium reactor and carbon chamber. Does anyone have any recommendations for a return pump. I have a 125 tank and a 50 gallon sump if that matters...

    Calcium Reactor

Man.... I feel like I am not catching on:( The gray fitting at the bottom would be the intake right? Off of the gray intake there are two nipples coming of of that. The white one beside the gray one would be the output, right. I appreciate all of your help, I just want to make sure that it...

    Calcium Reactor

Thanks Kim. That is alot of help. the only thing that I am confused on is the, "water into the reactor" line. Are you refering to RODI water? I am kind of a new reefer. Where does the line go out of the bubble counter? Do I fill the bubble counter with water? Sorry for all of the...
