Here are some pics of mine when I was building it...

    quick disconnect for flexable tubing?

I would stay away from this... Those fittings are made from brass and WILL leach copper into your system. If you can find a PVC version that would work.

Neptune Apex Temp Probe used for air temp? Anyone?

Ahh I guess that would make since. You can order a cheap enclose thermocouple that would work for what you want but if you already have something on hand you could just go ahead a build it. If you need help with the soldering or circuit design I can help you out.

    quick disconnect for flexable tubing?

You could use the union at the pump rather than the PVC.

Neptune Apex Temp Probe used for air temp? Anyone?

Odd, you would think the readings would be the same.

    Best macro algae

I cant keep any in my display... I have a yellow tang that eats everything, but I have chaeto, long blade calurpa and flame in my sump.

    quick disconnect for flexable tubing?

Rather than having it directly into the PVC why not add a union at that connection so you can just unscrew it from the PVC. You can get them cheap at a local hardware like mclendons.

    Issues with SPS

Sounds good, I'm prepping for the 2nd 20% now. I removed a 500gph power head and replaced it with a 1200 gph head now giving me 700gph from the overflow return pump and a 2x 1200's with one on each side pulsing at each other.

    Issues with SPS

yeah, the clam color is looking better with the MH but after reading what you posted and the link im not sure what would cause the clam to stress like you say it is... Only thing I can think of doing is to keep up with my WC's. I'm about to do another 20% tomorrow.

    Issues with SPS

specs as in size? 75G display with 30G sump running filter socks, reef octopus NW200 skimmer, UV sterilizer, phosphate reactor, fuge. I run carbon and chemi-pure. Lights are now 2x 175 20k MH + 3x atenic. I'm guessing my parameters being out of wack are stressing out a few things in the tank...

    Issues with SPS

I'm only running the MH a few hours until I can ramp up to using them all day.

    Issues with SPS

I thought it was an SPS... o well still learning lol, I have the water mixing now and warming up. I will do the change and continue to monitor the coral and water parameters.

    Issues with SPS

After doing some more reading I think the high Nitrate may also be the reason I'm loosing this battle with Cyano as well. Would you guys suggest dosing some Alpha aquavitro . alpha along with the WC?

    Issues with SPS

Cause of the Rate is probably due to me having to many fish and haven't had time to keep up with my WC's, I need to re home a couple guys. Ill do a 20% tonight and another in 2-3 days and just keep up with it.

    Issues with SPS

Thats not the issue because it has been on the rack close to the t5 lights the whole time. I put it on the sandbed lastnight so it could acclimate to the mh.

    Issues with SPS

Just tested again to make sure. Nitrate is 20ppm and calc is at 400.

    Issues with SPS

I have had a war coral for about a month now and is slowly dying... The tank I took it from was running 20k MH and I was using 3 10K HO T5's with 3 atenic. Now saying that I just upgraded to 2x 20k 175W MH and 3 atenic over my 75g yesterday. I hope it will make a come back. pH - 8 mag unknown...

Tank pump control and maybe more...

Well I went ahead and ordered 2 20k MH's and sockets(should be here soon). I plan on ripping apart my current lighting fixture to add the MH to it. I also what the MH controlled by the controller and to do this I need to add a SSR to the ballast. Ill update more later.

Also, post what code you have and are trying to test the probe with if you are still having issues

(Another) Arduino Light Controller DIY build.

Ahh I didnt see they were out... The DS18B20 uses 3 wires 1 resistor and you have to use the OneWire.h library. very easy to interface with using the code in the tutorial I posted.
