    kill the crab!

Not sure if this will help but when i wanted to catch my 3 stripe damsel I actually cleared the rock out of the middle of the tank. slid in some glass (or egg crate) all the way from the front to the back of the tank, from the sand to above the water line. Then i just removed all the rock and...

57 gallon oceanic illuminata rimless build

Thanks for the compliment, the GBTA is actually much bigger when it hasn't just fought with a power head. It's an Ecotech Marine MP10 ES EcoSmart Wave Driver and Powerhead. Designed especially for nano-reef aquariums, the MP10 ES from EcoTech Marine is a small yet powerful pump. The MP10 ideal...

Yeah it's a fun little game every morning trying to find him. It's still recovering but doing very well. I was hoping the fight with the power head might make it split but no luck. All i need are some naked clowns from ORA to host in it. Waiting for Kevin from Aquatic dreams to get them on...

    kill the crab!

Just so everyone knows, this crab is also very good at hiding. He's so skinny he can fit into places no one can go. Plus he's fast as hell. Good luck Matt. He definitely has grown a little bit since i saw him last. On a separate note: At Ding How here in Liberty Lake they have a soft shell...

    kill the crab!

May i suggest the easiest of all the options. It might require a little extra cleanup after but it should get the job done.

Yeah I have the foam covers for those they needed cleaned every 2-3 days, but your right I may have to consider putting them back on. The 1st thing i do when setting up a new reef is make sure I have pods in the sump and some in the display tank for the Gobys. They are all very fat and happy...

And have some clarified butter standing by just in case you get him this way. Take care of your problem and make a snack at the same time. Great Idea!

    kill the crab!

It seems all the things you got from me seem to be causing you trouble. Honestly folks this is one of the biggest lightfoot crabs I've ever seen and that was over a year ago. Good luck Matt I know he's an aggressive eater when i put chum in the tank. maybe you can catch him eating?

the boxing crab or pom pom crab. I love these guys and have one myself. When a fish or predator get to close they will try to sting it with that little piece of anemone they hold. but mostly they just wave them side to side.

    Egg crate really necessary?

Returnof sid: "LOL What happened to Matt is a fluke, and was in an acrylic tank. Had he had egg crate and dropped a bucket full of wet, live sand, the egg crate and the bottom of his tank, would have still broke...lol." It's not a fluke at all, when i was setting up my 210 glass aquarium I...

    Jesse's 40B with 20L sump

Thanks for the offer. I may be looking for a 75-100 gallon holding tank/bucket/horse trough to put stuff in for a few days while i make the transfer. But other than that just 1 heavy lift and things should go smoothly i hope.
