    HELP!!! ID Please!

It appears to be Dendrodoris elongata, a type of nudi. I don't believe they are particularly toxic, but I'm not sure if they are a predator or not.

    Long flowing tentacles

Goniopora and Alveopora also have good movement (certain species, anyway). My Alveopora is doing quite well and growing happily. They are known to be much easier to care for than Gonis.

    Long flowing tentacles

Have you looked at the Galaxia corals? When happy, they show similar movement to green star polyps, but they are a LPS. They also have sweeper tentacles that tend to come out for feeding at night or under actinics. Mine is growing happily, but not nearly as quickly as the Anthelia sp.

    Saltwater Emporium

For those of you in the Spokane/CDA area, the Saltwater Emporium is open again in the Silver Lake Mall on Highway 95 in Coeur d'Alene.

    MMMM hungry coral!!

I have a handful of different corals in my tank... the longest sweepers belong to the Galaxea and, believe it or not, my green cactus Pavona. Most of my Favias are still pretty tiny though. :)

    stupid ex- girlfriend blahhhh

The level of evidence required in civil court versus criminal court is different. In a case such as this, the plaintiff must show that it is "more likely than not" that the defendant is guilty. This is called 'preponderance of the evidence'. If the plaintiff is able to convince the judge even...

    MMMM hungry coral!!

Does that favia have a name? It's hard to tell the colors under the actinics. It sure is a beautiful coral! I'm constantly surprised at the length of some of my corals' sweepers. :)

    stupid ex- girlfriend blahhhh

There are really no words... you need hugs... :) In my saltwater endeavor thus far I've lost one fish... and that tore me up for quite some time. I still miss her, she was gorgeous. In this case, definitely turn it over to law enforcement... murder should not go unpunished.

    stupid ex- girlfriend blahhhh

Wow. I'm pretty sure I'd feel homicidal... that's just horrible and vindictive. I realize most people don't look at fish and corals the same way many view a cat or dog, but that's like dumping gasoline on a dog and setting fire to it. Horrifying... I'd get the police involved. No matter how...

    Healthy?

    How big is he?

My brain is not looking so good...

The short answer, yes, it could, and probably is. In any case, elevated ammonia/nitrates/nitrites are not going to help... With a few water changes and some time, it should recover. I rescued a Favia from a tank that was in poor condition. It's making a comeback.

Anemone question. What is it doing?

In your first photo, it appears to be spawning. There are several web videos out there, if you google a bit. Perhaps you could compare those to what yours was doing? Zooanthellae typically appears brownish when it is discharged, and your anemone appears to be expelling a whitish substance...

    RBTAs

*shrug* Mine bubbles after I feed it. Most of the rest of the time it's more elongated. I'm not sure if that means it's happy or unhappy, but mine hasn't wandered since I first put it in the tank. It found a spot it likes and has stayed there.

    RBTAs

That is the only problem with that awesome porus Tonga branch rock. My GBTA is attached to a hole in a piece of porus Tonga branch the size of two basketballs. I'm in big trouble if I ever decide he needs to move. At night, he shrinks and you can tell he's attached to the rear bottom portion...

    Anenome in BioCube 14?

A BTA will outgrow a tank that small quite quickly. When I purchased mine a few months ago, it was about 4 inches in diameter.... now it's a full 10-12 inches in diameter when it's expanded. Many people I've spoken to claim they will start splitting once they get to a certain size. I'm...

    Annoying Clown

My maroons do the same thing. My female even has a tendency to sleep laying on top of a mushroom. Its on a rock on the substrate and she just moves it to wherever she wants. My male is more normal and sleeps in the long tentacle anemone. They both tend to be territorial with regard to the area...
