Whats the worst thing that could happen

Seachem Reef Calcium (liquid) is a Polygluconate-Based Supplement. It is not recommended for adjusting your Calcium level. The use of a Calcium Chloride or equivalent supplement is a better solution. If you don't have the cash right now, just keep up on weekly water changes. I'd pick some...

    Is 400watts too much for a 120?

A lot of people use 400 watt bulbs over 2' deep tanks. Many actually prefer the 400watt XM 20k because of it's color and PAR value. ;)

    Depressing water test news!

Your calcium will come up with raising salinity. Target 1.026. It would be in your best interest to get a refractometer and some good Salifert test kits. There's probably a level of error in the testing so far. ;)

What To Do With A Sweeper Tentacle

No, I really don't want too. I've heard of people doing this and was just wondering what would happen. :) I've had it since January 2007. It is in moderate flow, but get's good polyp extension. Yours is lovely even if it's pink. :D The polyps look huge, almost like a bubble coral.

is high calcium a bad thing???

If you know for sure your testing results are accurate you can do this.... Kent Turbo Calcium or equivalent calcium chloride to raise calcium levels. You can safely raise calcium by 100ppm per day, but would be better over two days if it's that much. Again, use the calculator to aid in...

    nitrates rising

Agree, once the sandbed has a chance to come alive your nitrates should come down. Just do water changes in the mean time.
