    algae and more

If the tank is all cycled by now and you still have algae issue, few suggestions and questions: - Any pictures? - Consider adding a foxface fish and an urchin. - When it comes to cleanup crews, I had good experience with just few Turbo snails. Add a few healthy and large ones. - Did you change...

    135 Gallon Reef Upgrade

Nice setup. Do you still breed the clownfish? Post pics? I always wanted to raise from the eggs, but never got around picking up when they hatched and attending them.

    Osama's Reef - Today's System = DT 500 G Plus 3X65G

Hi Osama, glad you are back in the hobby. Congratulations also on your retirement! Great to see your new setup which looks amazing, Not sure if you remember (10+ years now), I remember stopping by to see your 180G and other reefs numerous times when we had lived in Chicagoland, and picking up...

I also have same problem. Will test out with this thread. One workaround I use to see any updates on threads occasionally: There is a drop-down "Quick Links" menu on top "to see all subscribed threads".

Full Build going to New York!

One of the neatest builds I have ever seen. Looks nice! Few questions: Curious what you have done to facilitate easy "push-button" water change, top-off and skimmer cleaning... Provisioning for future Calcium reactor and chiller hook up? How do you remove and replace the heaters? Not clear in...

    I.D. Please!

Probably the picture is misleading, but lights look too dim to me. Try placing a bit more up in the tank?

    I.D. Please!

I am guessing not enough light, since it browned out and got pale. It might also like the warmer spectrum. What are you trying to get the color back?

New home for three musketeers - Marineland 93G cube reef build

Idaho Grape on the left side of tank, forming steps along the side of the tank, covered most of the top overflows and now started to grow down back into the tank from top. About 30" diameter. I was going to chop it, but kind of started to like the look. Fish take refuge under and around the...

New home for three musketeers - Marineland 93G cube reef build

Thanks David. Here is a closer pic of Acropora Samoensis. I got this as an Aussie coral long ago, and now it is the center piece of the tank, plating out like a table: It likes lots of light and random flow.

    Makeme1098's Neo 90

Great colors, like your Acan farm ... How does the food you made work for you? I used to feed scallops and squid from grocery store before, but I think it was causing cyano and green hair algae. Since then I started to get 1lb frozen food (Hikari) mostly Mysis shrimp and brine shrimp. Wonder...

    My 300----- the Rebuild

Nice tank! I wish I had the space for 300G+ tank. What is the deep blue SPS on the right side? Is it Oregon tort? Looks nice. Are the LEDs at full power yet? :-)

New home for three musketeers - Marineland 93G cube reef build

Frag tank I built a frag tank using 3/8" acyclic. This was my first experience with building acrylic, turned out fine. I used braces around inside corners, with no rim on top. Since it is shallow (30x22x7), it is holding pretty well. I have a corner overflow in left back, where I put some macro...

New home for three musketeers - Marineland 93G cube reef build

Calcium Reactor setup Few pictures and details of the Calcium reactor setup... I am quite happy with this one. I decided on using an industrial regulator, Harris 15 PSI. It is a bit spendy, but it can control between 0 and 15 PSI. With this fine granularity of control, I do not use a needle...

New home for three musketeers - Marineland 93G cube reef build

I made some changes in lights. Now all lights are LED. I made an adjustable rack using drawer slides and some wood strips, mounted to the wall behind the tank. It looks like floating...
