Picture from HO Side

This picture is from HO side with covers off the bottom three tanks
Tanks from Left to right --> Frag tank --> Sump with four DC pumps --> Refugium

WE (wife and I ) love it... Still working with installer on few issues. But we are extremely happy with the woodwork finish

Been in the hobby almost 20 yrs. Had to sell off my 180, my 320, my 65, my two each 90, and my 150 g sump about three years ago for work that required me to travel. Now retired and decided on a 500g build. We really really love it. I work on it continuously in my retirement.

Here I am by my 320

By my 180

My 180 was my biggest success and I hope I can out do it with my new 500g with ALL your help

My Four previous setups moved

We moved our tanks to the basement from the home office area where we started with the 180 g and setup in the basement the 180g top left, the 320 top right and two 90g on the bottom. BIG Mistake as we did not enjoy going to the basement to view our precious reef and did not like taking our guests downstairs to view them either...

This is past history and now I will refocus on the new 500g tank that has been running since late Jan 2014... or thereabouts

OH WOW...beautiful!

Thats about where I am. I have a 54 corner, 75, 90 and 240 set up right now. i'll never have room for a 500 gal system though.

Believe me so much less headaches with one large setup. I guess I still have Three tanks in this setup plus a relatively small sump
Mainly we have to enjoy the fruits of our Hard labor !!! Thanks Ipisces

I was speaking of the number of tanks, not the quantity of water when I said thats about where I am.

glad to have you back in the hobby and on RF. would love to see the behind the scene workings of the new tank too.

I understood that U were talking about the numbers of tanks and I reflected that it is nice that I had one tank then I realized I actually still have three tanks plus a sump tank but they are all in one place on same water system... Anyhow we love our new system.... I did start a thread on RF for my "behind the scenes" of my new build here is the reference " http://www.reeffrontiers.com/thread...-Reef-arrived-Nov-12-2013?p=721631#post721631 " I appreciate your interest and would love to know where I can see pictures of your tanks ... thanks

Dang, I need your help lol.
Ipisces u have that beast tank in the front. U could combine but might lose some livestock in the process :/

Osama shweet old set ups. Ull do great with this one.

Thanks 1guydude... I hope so ( succeed) with my new tank as I must be addicted to this DEMANDING hobby. I am retired so I can accept the "Demanding" part

Hi Osama, glad you are back in the hobby. Congratulations also on your retirement! Great to see your new setup which looks amazing, Not sure if you remember (10+ years now), I remember stopping by to see your 180G and other reefs numerous times when we had lived in Chicagoland, and picking up very nice frags/colonies. It was an inspiration for my 225G at the time. We since then moved to Pacific Northwest and now have 90G. Smaller tanks are OK, but nothing like a large scale single one :clap2: Sweet setup.

Max

Finally got someone to recognize the name and mention my old 180g and the good times we had exchanging corals. Sorry but cannot recall the name... Max what?... Yes I had to quit for few years because of work related travel Sold everything and got back into it big times now tha I am retired... Very nice hrg from old time hobby buddies. You are the first and was hoping even expecting to hear from more.... But I did not keep good records ... Anyway good to hear from U.. My sweet new tank is also described in Reef Central as well as here

Very nice looking tank Osama! What kinda of lighting are you running on it?

My Huge skimmer

My skimmer, Not sure we need such a big skimmer. I would have been fine witha much shorter skimmer that would take less of the valuable and limited space in m fish room.. After almost nine months I finally got the hang of adjusting the skimmer to skim like sown here

My skimmer new.. Black hose discharging skimmate out into bucket before we connected it to drain that drains all what we need drained down to basement thru the floor and under the bathroom floor down to basement
Skimmer.jpg

Now skimming for ten days doing great after a nine months struggle

Cleaning day as cup is getting quite dirty with thick skum all over the surface
