    Infection Have you tested your water for signs of free swimming protozoan? If they are dispersed in the water column, re-infection will be inevitable. Tank may need to be run clam free for a month or two to deprive these (hopefully) clam specific predators. Any species info from the lab, Barry?

    I would let them recuperate for a few days first, though. Like barry said - lots of food, and maybe dose some selcon.

    Do previously healthy clams ever exhibit pinching? What about farm raised?

    if the disease returns after a specific amount of time, then obviously all of the pathogens aren't killed - if indeed they are pathogens. Must take that much time for them to build to a population that causes harm. This would be an incredibly specific pathogen...if it was a protozoan I would...

    That would be a species specific protozoan then, as only croceas and a small % of maximas 'pinch', right?
