Who are you? Here is me ;)

You must have read my mind Jid, I was thinking about doing the same thing. Clayton

How would I know? Butt, huh? Are we going to learn other fun words from The Bahamas? Gabby, cousins can actually marry in Washington State; second cousins anyway. Quite a few states allow first cousins to marry. Genetically there's nothing wrong with it. I'll admit though, it's still strange...

    Rubbermaid Stock Tanks

I always buy mine from Dell's Farm Supply, they've been the cheapest for years. Clayton

The only kind of "bungy" (or bungee) I know of is jumping, which is popular for some unknown reason. Ken, yeah I've used them; both in freshwater and salt. I never really found they made a big difference though. That isn't to say they don't work at all, I just think they're the new hot item...

I think Karma is something that was thought up by boring people who wanted everyone else to be just as boring. Besides, I don't think anyone who keeps fish can honestly believe it's true. I guess my answer is no, lol. Phosphate reactors are still questionable as to their real usefulness. Yes...

Not since that camping trip when I was 8. Oh wait, you mean in my tank? Sure, don't we all? Do you read the newspaper on a regular basis? Clayton

    Aquascaping

I don't really worry all that much about flow; that can be fixed with some well thought out plumbing. My biggest reason for not stacking rocks against the back wall is accessibility. If a coral falls behind the wall it's kind of screwed; and by the same token if a fish dies you're pretty much...

I have a thing when it comes to maggots; anything about them grosses me out. I've seen some other things that aren't appropriate to mention period, but especially on a forum. Nikki, those of us in the great northwest like to have delusions of grandeur every once in a while; just humor us. Same...

I lost my first fish today....

Jid, I told you weeks ago that your crabs could eat small fish if they get hungry. That was in "Answer & Ask". You asked "Do emerald crabs kill fish?", and my reply was "They can attack small fish and inverts if they run out of food."...

It's a jungle you started Jid. It's good to see you away from the books every once in a while; even if it takes making fun of your state to do it. Clayton

I already answered this, why are you asking me again? Ken, nothing personal; I just found it interesting, that's all. :) I actually came to this site because almost everyone is from this area. We could discuss things like local pet stores and stuff without the bother of interrupters from...

Ruptured hernia when I was 10. That hurt. Ken, I see you show up again after the sad movie question is done... Interesting... Same question. Clayton

Here's a short plotline on Brian's Song from IMDB... "Based on the real-life relationship between teammates Brian Piccolo and Gale Sayers and the bond established when Piccolo discovers that he is dying." In fact here's a quote from Bob Costas: "And now generations later, you don't know how...

Can someone recommend plumbing hose type/diameter

I definitely recommend rigid PVC pipe over any flexible tubing. Although Spa Flex is worlds better than vinyl tubing, it's still prone to leaks like any other flex type. Done correctly glued Sch40 PVC will never leak. Just don't use threaded fittings (except at the pump), they can leak worse...

I have to go with Ishtar. Oh wait, I asked for sad; not disappointing. In all seriousness, Schindler's List has to be my top pick. Terms of Endearment and Steel Magnolias were really sad too, but I laughed my ass off at Somersby. Don't ask me why, it was just one of those sick moments I guess...

    extremely small white dots

Small white dots are usually harmless (in your tank anyway); like Nikki said, probably just small pods. Clayton

I grew up watching scary and bloody movies, from the age of about 7; so nothing really scares me too much. Some are a bit freaky though, and The Ring was one of them. Don't worry Nikki, The Ring 2 isn't scary at all. Although it didn't really spook me out, I was surprised that The Grudge was a...

What is the most reliable evap top off system

The drawback is just as you said, the loss of vacuum. Some people use them with great success; just don't try to mix kalk in them, you'll get it clogged. The most reliable way to top-off? A jug of RO/DI water and your arms, but I don't think that's what you had in mind... :) I like float...

What kind of things do you watch??

I watch a lot of TV now that I think about it... During the day I watch pretty much nothing but Fox News. Monday: The King of Queens, How I Met Your Mother, Two and a Half Men, Medium. Tuesday: According to Jim, The Amazing Race. Wednesday: George Lopez, Freddie, Lost. Thursday: Joey, Will...

I don't count snails during water changes, but I occasionally count them to make sure one hasn't croaked on me. Krish, I was on NyQuil and behaved myself; except for the l*s***n remark in my PM. Well, that and calling Gabby on her battery comment. That was her though, not me. Do you consider...
