    Falling rock!

I have to agree with mike...if there's no room for it to move then you don't have to worry about it falling over. Think of it this way though, everytime you restack it, you get that much better at stacking rock..eventually you're going to get it right, right?!? Although it's been ~7 years for...

Bored Scared and I Want It NOW

This seems like a very large...but fun project. I went from a 30g to a 240g in the 2.5 years since my daughter was born (30, 65, 120, 240..) the wifey was NOT HAPPY but it has kept me sane. So believe me, I know the bug :) What are the dimensions on the 630? What kind of plans do you have...

    Chalice needs help

I tend to keep all of my chalices in very low light. They always seem to be happy down on the sand bed or even under a ledge with medium current to keep them clean of detritus. It's a beautiful chalice for sure. Good luck.

it could also be from where and how it was fragged from the original colony... either way they look nice and if you spot feed them you'll see even more babies :) I've noticed you have some nice acans...i'm always looking to add to my collection

    need help with ca levels

The water should be "ok". I would do the water changes more frequently for right now (maybe 20%-25% every 5 days to 1 week) What are you using to test your ALK? Make sure the salt water is mixed to the same s.g. as your tank and the temp is the same before the changes) I know this might...

    Interceptor for Red Bug Treatment

Having worked in the veterinary field as a technician and being in the reef hobby, I've talked to alot of vets about the interceptor treatment. Many of them are open to prescribe it as long as you bring them some documentation of it's use, dosage, etc. Melafix works good as a dip but if you're...

    need help with ca levels

What salt mix are you using and test kits? I would say get some new test kits and stop adding supplements until you figure out where you're really at. Water changes should stabilize things and if you're doing them frequently you're levels will remain just fine for your corals. Make sure you...

    Breaking in new bulbs

I just switched all 3 of my 250w mh bulbs from 14k to 20k radiums two weeks ago. Cleaned all the reflectors, put in the new bulbs and ran them for the same amount of time as the old bulbs. The corals were a bit shocked for the first couple of days but seem to be doing just fine. If you want...

Running an air hose to address low Ph

I put a small fan in my cabinet/stand to help get some fresh air in there...seems to help with blowing off some of that co2 and raising the ph a bit

    Bryopsis/Kent Tech M Question

Aiptasia can be taken care of with some aggressive peppermints. They cleared my tank out. Then they started eating acans so I ate them..haha...it's always something with these tanks. I guess the ocean just wasn't meant to be kept in a box. Good luck. Let me know how it works out. I'd like...

    Bryopsis/Kent Tech M Question

I think the tech-M is a good patch. By patch I mean it kills of a large majority of the stuff. This gives you time to get it more under control and figure out the root problem and a better, long term solutions. I'm still a firm believer that even though I had issues, the issues came from me...
