    MSX-160

Light bioload up to around a 150g should be fine. It should handle a medium bioload to heavy 125g tank.

    C-skim

They are ok i guess. 400lph as a recirc. I've heard of one person who likes it, and no others. It leaks pretty bad from what i've seen posted. I have seen a few dealers put them on clearance as well. If you buy one look around as there's a few places that are selling them at a huge...

    SPS Disease? A new one?

Good deal, thanks for the replies. I'll monitor it and update this thread if it starts to spread or if it heals.

    SPS Disease? A new one?

Well, i have seen alot of sps probs in my days but here's a new one. I have almost a swelling of a few tips on a large purple table acro. The three tips have had this swelling for a few months. They still show good PE. The thing that is strange is no parameters have changed and teh coral is...

    Where to get Base Rock?

Marco rock is great, but i'd get some live rock for a local selling it and just dry it out. I can always find it local for 2bux a pund or less.

    overflow box and return pump

If your overflow can pull down up to 1000gph and you put a 700gph pump on it your overflow will just pull 700gph. If you put a 700gph overflow on and a 1000gph pump, you will have a tank overflow and a dry sump. The overflow will adjust with the return pump unless the return pump exceeds the...

    Skimmer pump

I know the original impeller was a regular magnet, and now they use a ferrite magnet in them and they are much better. No clue on the earth magnet.

    Skimmer pump

Yes, i've seen lots of evidence that the closer the air venturi the better the air pull. This is the case for pretty much all pump's. You can literally get 10scfh more or less depending on where the air venturi is.

    Skimmer pump

That atman is the same pump as the via aqua 2600. The only difference between the two is the pw impeller and impeller magnet. They use a better magnet. I think its a 3/4" female thread on the pump input, so if you make an aspiring venturi like the psk2500 you should be fine. And if something...

    Vertex Alpha 250 cone skimmer!!!

The only thing that i wish they would have changed is the neck size. I've heard from a few owners that they are having problems getting it to skim properly. The skimmer pulls 15-1800lph air and has a 6" neck. A 6" neck needs around 2500lph air on a cylinder skimmer to work well, so a 6" neck...

    Skimmer pump

Another place to source them. May be able to get one cheap : ) You will have to specify 120v...

    Skimmer pump

Yep, the ab's are very quiet pump's. They can also run externally and are quiet. I was glad to see deltec finally use the larger ab on there new skimmer. It took long enough for someone to use it. The biggest prob with the ab's is the supply in the US. They are dutch pump's and are...

    Skimmer pump

This one actually pulls 700lph air. Not to shabby. http://www.nuocean.com/pumps/aquabee-2000-i-pump-1.html

    Skimmer pump

Aquabee 2001, will be perfect. 500lph air, 200gph waterflow. A sicce will be to much.

    Frag Tank

I don't see any problem with it.

    I-Tech Protein Skimmer

Nothing wrong with the Itech's. They are built with 1/8" acrylic, have seams, are all hand made. There not as fancy as the other cone's but they work fine. There sicce mods only pull 600lph so there not modded to hot, but that may be enough for there bodies. I think if they made the necks...

    Bubble Magus Skimmers?

Well, atleast you tried! And yes, there s more than just air that makes a skimmer work well. Design & dwell time are very important. Higher sg makes skimmers foam alot more as well. I've never noticed temp playing a role though.

    Bubble Magus Skimmers?

Idono, you should contact nuocean about that. I'm sure chris will sell them if he has them. But yea, they are totally worth it if you are running a mj900 or mj1200 skimmer pump as they pull alot of air.

    Bubble Magus Skimmers?

Here's a few pics of the boy's tank and his skimmer. This is two days of skimmate in a 20g.
