    Fish tank size

That site is wrong grahamsn. It is a 15g tank. Take a look at the 10g leader. It's 20x10x12. How could you have the same volume in a tank that is 4" longer and 2" deeper and the same height? Find an aquarium volume calculator and put in your measurement, I'm sure you'll get roughly 15g.

    Cloudy water

I would have to concur with Returnofsid. If you get a spike in ammonia, it tends to cloudy the water. You can also check your ph, sometimes a sudden rise in ph will cloudy the water.

Is your starry blenny pretty active? Mine is constantly scootin around all over the place. He doesn't perch very much like they are supposed to. I've never had a jawfish, but when I see them in tanks at stores, they don't move very far from their burrow. If your blenny does move around a lot...

    Gotfish's 125g

Got a couple of pics of some fish that I've purchased in the last couple weeks. The sharknose goby has been in the tank a couple days now and I'll be putting the striatus tang in this weekend. For some reason the color of the photobucket pic doesn't look the same as the pic on my hard...

catalina gobies are cold water fish. If I remember right, somewhere in the high 60's to low 70's temp range.

    reef temperature???

My guess would be a second or third story apartment. I know my upstairs is at least a good 5 degrees hotter then my downstairs. On my 29g biocube, even during the winter, temps would stay around 80 without a heater. During the summer, I had temps at 85 during the day. I never did lose any...

OMG, the kid dumped a can of food into the sump!

Lol, looks like me after a six pack. J/K That is pretty yellow water there.

    reef temperature???

There is no consensus. Studies on the ocean have shown temps ranging from 74-85 in the same day. Some areas in the world's oceans have been measured at 92 degrees. 84 over a prolonged length of time may not be good, but if you're going from 78-82 in a 24 hour period with a spike up to 84...

Remember the importance of your QT tank.

New2thepngd, go to petsmart and buy a 10g with the incandescent hood. I think they cost about $25. Then get yourself a sponge filter ($9), a little air pump ($15) and a 50w heater ($15). Take the sponge filter and throw it in your sump and leave it in there unless you are using it for QTing...

70W halide Good? Bad? or Ugly?

Sorry, I thought you already had the ballast and what not. I agree with skimmer, the sundial fixture is pretty nice and even if you did want to do a hood, I'd go with a retro fit t5 kit. I run t5's on my 125g which is 23" tall and I've got milli's a couple inches off the sand that are doing...

70W halide Good? Bad? or Ugly?

Why would you have to leave areas in the tank for softies? You think somehow the 70w bulb is stronger then the sun? Plenty of people put 150's over a tank that deep as well. You just have to keep them higher up for heat purposes. That would also help with coverage though. I'd probably stick...

    My 24 gallon horrible tank

I ran carbon for the first couple months using the carbon sold by oceanic for the biocube. It comes prepackaged with filter floss. The last 7 months or so of running the tank, I didn't run any carbon. I did a water change every week of 3 gallons.
