    I chose "every 4-5 years". I am coming up on 5 yrs now and this will be my first replacement. Woohoo~~~ :rolleyes: I plan on keeping my old rock and cooking it then using it for my next replacement.

    Remora pro skimmer help needed

    The pump to my Remora Pro has been 'hanging' with only a plastic hose clamp on it. As a matter of fact, when i have to remove the pump for cleaning, it is very difficult to remove it from the hose.

    Yeah, that's a magnum HOT filter. I love using mine with the micron filter to spot clean diterus and for cleaning the sump. Congrats on your tank Jiddy!! :D

    Are you feeding it soley shrimp? I feed mine whole thawed silversides. They get to ingest the entire fish.... the eyes, fins, etc. Try feeding yours silversides (or a pinch of one) to vary it's diet. IMO there are more nutrients in a silverside than in the shrimp. (your wife may stop...

    Ahhhh... so it's quantity. Should I 'feed' the cycyling rock? Maybe a piece of shrimp every week? I want to reduce/eliminate any ammonia spikes from the main tank as much as possible. I will certainly be saving every drop of tank water I can.
