150 Gallon at Almost 6 Months... Showing Progress

So I finally got my 150 Gallon tank running last year with it seeing water for the 1st time the day after Thanksgiving. Going through the forums on here has taught me a lot and has given me many ideas to on my own tank so I thought I would post some pictures here. First was to to get the tank...

    Korallin C1502 Calcium Reactor & CO2 Hook-Up

Here are some photos. The pastic washer did not work either, still did not seal it. I check the reviews of this regulator (Deluxe) on Marine Depot, and the reviews were not good. It seemed to have this exact problem. I think I am going to try and find a rubber washer and see if that...

    Korallin C1502 Calcium Reactor & CO2 Hook-Up

So I purchased a used Korallin C1502 Calcium Reactor Package 2 that was supposedly used just for a few months (though I doubt this now). My question and problem is that the regulator does not seat with a standard CO2 tank. I exchanged the tank for a full one, and the rubber seal on the...

    my first sump design

Andrew, Like was previously said, make sure you can take the skimmer in and out (I couldn't initially on my sump so I had to cut it down). And it is much less stressful if you leave enough room for the back flow of water in a power outage, then you know it will not over flow. I also have a...

    180G TruVu Reef Tank Progress

I like your set-up. Where did you get the screens for your intake bulkheads? I just finished my plumbing and my 2" screens are huge, it looks like yours takes up much less room.

    Fish Pond Website

That sounds like it is really nice. My living room has an octogon window that looks out over the pond, it will be nice when it is cleaned up.

    Fish Pond Website

Thanks a lot! I have been browsing the Koiphen site and I am already learning alot. My pond came with my house I bought, it is just a gold fish pond but as I get more comfortable with it I would like to get some Koi. This is the only photo I have at the time. It is from last year's snow...

    Custom Sump

I am looking for a shop that can build me a custom sump in the Puget Sound tri-county area (Everett to Tacoma). Does anyone have some one that they can refer me to? Thanks

Forced to switch to MH tomorrow - Questions.

I made the switch to MH about 3 months ago. Do you have an acrylic cover for your tank? I used a sheet of acrylic so the lights were not as direct on the corals. I started my acclimation at having my halides on for 3 hours, then I added 1 hour (1/2 hour on each end of the cycle) each day until...

    Coralife Powercenter - Light Timers

Thanks for all of the responses. I am now offically scared to use the Coralife Powercenters any longer. I do not want to take a chance with a device that has had any relations to a fire. I will look at individual timers at Home Depot this evening and go that route.

    Coralife Powercenter - Light Timers

Does anyone have any feedback on the Coralife light timers? I was very happy with them until recently when I had two timers freeze up on me. Each of these powerstrip light timers have worked very well for me. One for over a year and one for about a month. Now they have both ceized to keep...
