3/4 incrusted or 11/2 freshly glued say two day before SPS

I have to agree, both stand about the same chance but for whatever reason I always prefer crusty frags because once they get to growing they seem to go nuts. And Jezz, you are exactly right, the same coral can look completely different depending on the lighting. It's amazing how they can change.

    DYI frag disks

I'm sure frag disks seem cheap but when you go through 1000+ a month the cost can really add up. Below are the basics for making home made frag disks cheap. I start with a table and put a sheet of plastic on top of it: Next in a 5 gallon bucket I mix the following: 2 parts argonite...

    Very Disappointed in Shipment

Ouch that sucks! I been on the receiving end of an ice pack when it was 35 degrees outside and everything coming in cold as a board. It's so easy to check online to see what the weather is like at the shipping destination. I've got my fingers crossed for you. Mushrooms are pretty hardy and...

    Beware of USPS

No I agree, paid for a new one and deserved a full refund. But you should be able to fix that one and sell it for less the second time around. Heck I'd give something for it broken.

    Beware of USPS

Looks like it got caught up in some of their equipment. Suck but looks like with some weldon it would be fixable.

    nitrate problem

Usually on a system we want to do about a 10% water change every week to help remove some of those yuckies out of the water. Without doing water changes they will start building up like you are seeing. Looks like it should be easy to remedy for you.

Green star polyp out of the water

If you can keep them wet at warm they should be ok but I would take a razor and cut it away and re-glue it when you get it set back up.

    Dry Rock Expectations

How long has your tank been set up and what are your parameters? Sounds to me like your at the end of a cycle due for a good water change and a big CUC. I did a 125 with 5 lbs of live and 100+ pounds of dry. At the end of the cycle it was ugly, did a good water change and a good CUC from John...
