How to Remove Hard Water Stains on Glass

Yes if you want to re-silicone remove the old first. You can also attack the heavy water deposits with a razor blade while you're scraping away silicone.

    First sump design

I like your design on your fuge, it's basically how I design mine as well. Just make sure you have enough space left over for power outages which it looks like you should. Double drains on your DT will cover you as well to prevent something clogging on one line but with a small return section...

    Recommended skimmers?

I have a BMK 150 and it is a very good skimmer for the price. In regards to the start up issues I can attest to it personally, sometimes when you turn it off to clean the cup and turn it back on it doesn't start back up right away. Sometimes 30 seconds later it's on, sometimes I beat on it and...

    Gary's Oceanic Illuminata 57 build

It shouldn't stay that cloudy after 4 days. Make sure you are using a filter sock and clean it daily for a bit. You don't want your return blowing on the sand bed right now either so it can settle, and cutting back on the flow might help some as well. Once you get the really fine particles...

    Which Skimmer?

Both are good skimmers but I would likely go with the bubble master as well.

    Upgrading lights again! Need suggestions

I found a guy on Ebay that did me a 9 bulb strip (3W bulbs) and it was like $75 delivered. I needed some more blue on a small FT I had going. I sure you could find somebody to do you a bigger strip.

    Upgrading lights again! Need suggestions

I'm not familiar enough with the MH fixture you listed although it does look nice. The ATI fixtures are very nice though. Going MH will be hotter though and will increase evaporation but it will put a lot of light into the system. I run both MH systems and T5 systems and like them both.

    Upgrading lights again! Need suggestions

With an 8 bulb T5 fixture and sps higher in the tank you shouldn't have any problems at all especially with ATI bulbs.

    The MyReef Saga

This last Saturday was moving day. Had to get the frag tank out of the shop so the landlord could calm down. Drained everything down and using a truck and van we were off. It took about 8 hours to do the move, re-plumb, and get things running. Here we have the tank and lights, sump with fuge...
