    My 100 Gallon Baby!

I like the center canyon look too (obvioiusly!). Trying to make it curve some, to give it a bit more natural feel. Saving the right side island for SPS. Left side right now is all softies, LPS, BTA, shrooms, rics, palys, and zoas. Thanks for the overflow advice as well. Valves and flood...

    My 100 Gallon Baby!

Ok, so as requested here are some pics of the radions and how I mounted them. For the two brackets connecting the lights I simply bought a couple pieces of predrilled narrow steel plates from Home Depot that are used in decking, for about a buck or so. Painted them black with some Krylon spray...

Two types of sand, a fine black tahatiian towards the outside, and bit more of a rubblier black sand/gravel everywhere else, which is a bit easier to clean. I agree, especially in person, and what the radions, the colors really stand out against the black. Love it.

Thanks. The tangs are new for this tank, so I'm hoping they're happier than the LFS! Didn't think they'd be thrilled in my smaller tank, so didn't have any previously. And yes, I too was/am worried about jumpers. I have a screen from one of our bedroom windows that fits over the top pretty...

    My 100 Gallon Baby!

Hahaha. You guys are tough! Here's a pic from this morning with the water clear and some aquascaping done. When I get home this evening, I'll take a couple of the lights/mounts close up and from a bit further back. The hardest part in mounting them, was just making sure they were centered over...

    My 100 Gallon Baby!

Thanks! And thanks for the purple polyp rock as well. Still trying to find the best spot up top for it, to keep it from creeping all over. Looks gorgeous though. And my wife thanks you for the Ricordea. She's such a sucker for shrooms! hahaha

    My 100 Gallon Baby!

Not an easy feat in trying to have the new tank placed into the same spot as the old one. Placed all my corals in various buckets with a bit of the tank water, and then put my live rock that didn't have much attached into a couple 20 gallon Braun garbage cans with a bit of a tank water, and then...

    My 100 Gallon Baby!

Thanks! I'm transferring over mostly LPS, softies, and Zoas from my 65 g. I'll get some pics of them up soon i hope. Have a yellow and kole tangs, Midas Blenny, pair of snowflake clowns, pair of Banggai cardinal fish, firefish, and Watchman and red headed gobies. Planning on adding either...

s Early sump build with return pump chamber, refugium, and skimmer chamber with baffles. And sump before placing into stand with heaters, and black outs to minimize algae growth in non fuge sections. Skimmer is an eshopps S-150 cone.

    My 100 Gallon Baby!

Thanks. I'm going to put up some more pics here soon. Hopefully this evening. Just trying to figure out why they are coming up as links instead of photos. And yes, the pics do not do the tank or really even the stand justice. It's truly beautiful.

    My 100 Gallon Baby!

For Christmas, my incredible wife gave me two Ecotech Radion xr30 LED lights. To say the least, I was totally stoked! However, I quickly wondered how the heck was I going to mount these beauties on my "all in one" Red Sea Max 250 (65 g) system? It has an enclosed hood with T5 lights. Every...

If you need me, 1 pm is fine. I do have saw horses, but no large piece of plywood to make a table. Have a small bench, with the usual tools. Plenty of room for parking in driveway and on street.

    March Get together/Workshop

Not sure if you want a newbie to host, since I haven't even been to a North Sound Reefer get together before, but I have a three car garage that is easily available. So if you are in a jam for a spot, I'd be happy to offer up my house for the event on the 17th. Just let me know.
