    Bug? Id

I got a couple of bug looking things in some Australian live rock. I have never seen these before, they kind of remind me of a potatoe bug but are more elongated in shape and seem to have 10 legs, the back is a couple of shades of brown. They don't seem to swim but crawl around like a bug. I...

update Well it's been a month since my green slimer fiasco and I honestly don't think I have AEFW. I am not sure what happened to that coral but I've had no problems since. I've dipped several random pieces in the tank and nothing. The A.valida I was worried about seems fine and I now believe...

Anthony you had said this in another thread several months back: Quote: I was wondering if you ever looked into this product and what your thoughts are about it. Here is a link you might be interested in that debates if "reef-resh" is what it's cracked up to be with lots of product info from...

It's not one of my favorites, so what better piece to experiment on? It had no ill effect on the coral what so ever. I don't want to start blindly going about things but if I do have a parasite problem I need to know sooner than later. I really do appreciate your concern and caution though...

I put a coral (a nana) that had been beside the slimer into an iodine based coral dip by Seachem(all I could find locally) but all I could see flying off it was copepods & amphipods, no flat worms, at least that I could see. Wouldn't you think that flatworms would have spread to that if that was...

Any idea where I can buy fluke tabs? I can always google it but if somebody has a known good source I'd rather get them from there. I have ordered the tropic marin med but being in Canada I'm not sure I'll even get it and if I do it might be a while. None of the LFS here knew what I was talking...

I thought I've had enough RTN issues in the past to recognize it and this didn't seem like what I've seen before. Any RTN I've seen seems to start in one spot, usually the bottom and works its way up very fast. It was located near other non aggressive corals like stylophora so I doubt it got...

    What is this?

I agree that it's halymenia. Adds a nice splash of colour. I keep a bunch in my refugium.

I have a green Slimer that is sick and I was wondering if I might have flatworms or something like that. This coral wasn't in the best flow area but then again it still had reasonable flow. It has been getting white streaks up the body that to me don't look like stn or rtn, at least not like...
