    Thoughts About LED Lighting

I've been looking into switching to LEDs. Been researching which one to buy, then my husband said he would build one, I was very excited to have a custom light. Well, that was two months ago! Husband and build time = I will NOT see a complete LED light!! Parts is more than I expected. And...

Where do most folks get their water?

RO/DI unit. Cost to much to top off and water change on an 80g and 50g tank if I have to go buy water.

    Zoa spiders - Help!

Yes, keep only healthy ones. Rotten ones eventually will kill whole colony.

    Zoa spiders - Help!

How big is your tank? I usually have a yellow coris wrasse to keep pests under control. I have bought frags with spiders, dipped them really good. Watch your other polyps closely....I check things out when lights are off and polyps are closed. Many times I have found frags/colonies that...

    what metal halide bulb?

I'm running Coralvue 250W DE in my 65g, I really like the color for DE bulb, my favorite from many others i have tried. For previous 45g tank, it was 250W SE Radium. Current temporary 80g, I'm trying XM 250w. All 20k. I really like radium for SE.

    6.6 gallon bookshelf aquarium

Changed aquascape a bit. I lost the flower nems, but the meteor shower grew very well. Also added 2 sexy shrimp. I tried adding a couple blue stunner strips but didn't like the color. I have been so busy last few months, finally did a water change after 12 weeks. Minis didn't seem to be...

Filter Floss, do you dispose and replace of clean and reuse?

I have used battling too. Now I'm using something similar....buffalo snow, no cutting needed, easier to shape around pipes/tubings. I think it's only sold during x-mas time. Got it really cheap after x-mas.

    Water Changes

I normally do a water change between 8-10 weeks. I have not done a water change 12+ weeks....things are a bit hectic right now. I dose Alk, Ca, and Mg. And test when dosing is not consistant.

I can't attend BBQ coming up, but also would like to buy raffles too. I attended a couple tank tours and that was really fun.

    Dear RF staff....

Funny.....I misspelled the title on my nano build thread because I was going to fast, that really bothered me. But I guess you can't correct the title. Oh well....

    coralline algae removeal

I have used health care cards or hotel room key card, they're a bit thinner than credit cards. Works great for me but time consuming. Also use scraper for areas I can't reach. I scrape off coralline algae wherever I can reach.
