What kind of sand doesnt blow around much?
ok put it like this I feel the same way about bare bottom tanks as most people on here feel about people like me with a 125 gl tank wanting to put a leopard shark in it It just shouldn't be done but just cause I dont like it dosent make it wrong just my preference thats all 2 add I have a 35...- trillyen

Clam lighting
great question cause i soon want clams also man. but im gonna have mine under about 500 watts of metal halide 12 k lighting and 220 watts of vho, and moon lighting so theyll always be lite up, but im gonna wait til my tank is about 6 months mature!!! great thread!!- trillyen

jmo but i hate bb tanks it looks so incomplete kinda like the winter without snow a wedding without the ring and so on just my 2 cents though i had a real good sand the last time i had my tanks up and it was aragonite and a good grade thickness it didnt hardly blow up at all with the current in...- trillyen

I second that Its more stress on your tank cause its not at an even level But your tank aint as long as a 55 but its still more wear and tear I'm sure it can be done and if you had it still on thecstsnd stand straight up in the back of a truck bed sitting back there with it it may be cool but...- trillyen

those things are hard to keep alive any way I bet it was ick or lateral line disease or something Just cause be didnt see if dont mean it wasnt there It could have been a stress issue also depending on the ta k size and tank mates and how he was captured in the wild can drastically effect a...- trillyen

as far as if the 29 gallon is to heavy to move thats up to you to decide if you know hulk hogan im sure he could lift it with water and sand:eek:, just the sand might be ok but i would say put the water in some rubber maids and divide it up to like 3 10 gallon buckets thats what i would do and...- trillyen

well as we all know it starts like this then of course when you get addicted in the den youll have this!!! and you gotta have lights for it (keep in mind here on the 125 this is only 1 of my 6 foot vhos i have lit of the two, and the 250 watt metal halide i have in the middle isnt on yet...- trillyen

sump circulation rate
i was gonna put a phead in my 45 gallon sump on my 76 gl but i decided not to cause the water flowing over the baffles causes enough flow into the refuge chamber and my return chamber dont need no dang flow I just wanted the water that stands the very top to move a little cause it seems like...- trillyen
