    Mirage's 40 Gallon Stretch Hex

Good point, I always kept my returns about 1/2" below water line for that exact reason.

    Mirage's 40 Gallon Stretch Hex

I have been thinking, unfortunately for everyone....We forgot to drill a return line, like for a 3/4" loc line return? I though both of what we drilled were for overflows, or is one a return line?

    Zoanthids growing together?

:) Yes, all of them were mine at some point in my reefkeeping adventures. I did lose a fair amount recently to some unknown outbreak/predator.

    need id, if you can

I just kind of left them alone, they did not cause any problems. I have since replaced all of my live rock with new rock, so most if not all of them are out of my tank, probably still have a few in the frag tank though. :D

    cross's 10gl nano build

I like more smaller units over one larger unit, better control over the flow, and they are much less intrusive! Nice!

    need id, if you can

+1 on this, MGDMirage is most likely right. I have several, or used to have several, in my rockwork. They are pretty cool looking, stay about dime sized, don't seem to spread to plague proportions, and seem to like extremeley low light conditions, meaning they do not compete with your corals...

    Zoanthids growing together?

If you like all 4 indivudually, then they should all look good grown together. However, one or two zoas may eventually push out the others, so you may end up with just one type anyway (a ways down the road though depending on growth rate). If you see that happeneing you will have plenty of...

    is this a good setup?

I beleive that is a smaller version of the Solana. The Solana is 20" by 20" by 20", and the F&S is 18" by 18" by 18".

Aiptasia take over, what to do?

Have you tried Aiptasia-X? I have used it with great results.

    cross's 10gl nano build

Looks good! If you don't want the frag plugs sometimes you can chip or scrape the frags off of the plugs, then just glue the frag where you want it on your rockwork. And other times the frag plugs are a little easier to get placed in the rockwork, the frags will grow over the plugs in a couple...

    Fish death mystery

If that doesn't work, and you are pretty sure it is the crab eating your fish, you might just have to skewer him :(

    ajnweb's Solana

I think you are right....I hope he doesn't decide my finger is a snack!

    ajnweb's Solana

I think that is part of their camo, they are so black that it is hard to make out any features such as eyes or mouth, they just look like a black sponge.

    ajnweb's Solana

More Frog Fish pics, man is he getting aggressive at feeding time! He looks dirty because he does not move alot, and the detrius just kind of settles on him :D First time I have been able to actually make out an eye and a mouth.
