alveopora not opening

So i just got a small frag of an alvepora a few days ago from my reef store where it was open and looking great. it has not made a single attempt to open since being in my tank. i have a 29 with it placed mid water level under my halide with medium flow. any advice?

Hello,
They are a low to medium light, low flow coral. They do best placed on the substrate especially when using halides. They do best in slightly higher nutrient levels than SPS corals. They seldom survive long in the home aquarium most likely due to feeding requirements. Oyster Feast is what I would recommend to try for food.
