    well i did soak mine for 24 hours in a tub of ro/di water no flow then added to reactor. Mine are doing a great job and im not having any algea problems.

    I believe i have a Mantis. hear clicking everyso often and my snails and shrimps disappear over time. Other then ripping my tank apart and going rock by rock what else can i do to find it?

    Well heres an update. I have been using the vertex bio pellets for just over a month and im very happy with them. both nitrates and phosphates are undetectable in my system. My corals are looking really good also. They did get shocked at first due to coming from my cube which was poorly designed...

    How to get rid of Cyano

    I had bad cyano when i first started my 60 cube. I added alot more flow and vacuumed out as much cyano i could. after a few weeks it was gone. oh and i did alot of water changes lol

    Are Micro Bubles Bad?

    How new is your system. Think i saw somewhere that until you get a nice slime coat in your plumbing you will have bubbles. I set my 150 up last month and now my micro bubbles are all but gone and i havent added anything to the tank to stop them.

    hey ichthys that would be an awesome idea. if you have a controller to run the pump thru that homemade chiller you could set it to come on when temp hits like 79.0 and off at 78.5.

    When i feed my coral animos and turn of my skimmer i had a problem when i restart it up. The skimmer fills up and starts overflowing the cup and needs to be dialed down and then back up to the spot i had it. Do others have to readjust the skimmer after a restart and if not what am i doing wrong?
