I believe i have a Mantis. hear clicking everyso often and my snails and shrimps disappear over time. Other then ripping my tank apart and going rock by rock what else can i do to find it?

Shrimp trap time and red led headlamp when the lights are off at night. I need to get a crazy coral banded shrimp out of my tank some time soon too. I should do it tonight now then I’m thinking about it.

I've heard of using a plastic bottle with bait in the bottom, removing the cap and laying it at the bottom of the tank. Sometimes the mantis squeeze in, and can't make it back out, so they are trapped. I'd watch, though, so as soon as you see it get in there, take the bottle out before it escapes! They do swim well, though, so best to do it FAST! I'd also try to do it with the tank lights off.

Hope this helps, and Good Luck!

Well, he can reeeeeeeeeeally hurt you. Seen fingers split open. Take the rocks out and put then in some hyposalinity water for a couple of days.

He is probably hiding in a hole in a rock !

Enjoy

Yeah i have ripped my tank apart like 4 times upgraded and transfered everything and still havent found it. I know i have one cause of the snail shells i find.

well coralRX or melafix should work with a dip, did you use something like that when you did your transfer>?
